Starting in 2006, the women of Salvation Church began to visit the children in orphanages. Now the ministry has started to pick up speed; a few young men and women among the youth of the church have joined. They believe that Christians are called to manifest God's love to orphans. But working with so many children requires not only love and a desire to help, but skills and understanding of the specifics of working children in orphanages.

Victory does not come easy! But if God is on your side, and you stand with Him faithfully, then in spite of the odds and whatever the tests, then you can be sure that you are already a winner!
Our sports ministry in the Poltava region doesn't have a very long history. About three years ago two teams of athletes formed in our church. They began to popularize the two sports that were new to Ukraine: Floorball and Ultimate Frisbee.

These were the opening words of the 2nd semester of children's sunday school after the Christmas break at Salvation Church! On January 27 the students and teachers together began the fascinating journey with Moses on the road to the promised land! For a short time we were the nation of Israel, going through the same trials and temptations that they faced! There was the desert, and Mount Sinai, and scouting the promised land, and even "manna" in the form of popcorn ... to still the hunger of the people striving for freedom!

The Great Commission of Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations, preaching the gospel to every creature, remains unchanged and relevant for the Church, even when living in a period multiplying everyday concerns and spiritual indifference! After experiencing a surge of spiritual interest during the 90's, today's Christians with amazing confidence increasingly claim their "right to spiritual privacy" when it comes to the importance of missionary work and preaching the gospel to unsaved people in new places.

Recently the Christian Center was the scene of a meeting of the committees of Christian Education and Missions for churches of the Poltava region.
How does this relate to the life of our church? In the most direct way. After all, Salvation Church is involved in and takes an active part in regional missionary projects and educational programs.

From the very beginning of the new year the village of Zavorsklo, in the Poltava region, has been the object of Salvation church missionary efforts. Taking advantage of the popular tradition on Christmas Eve, one of the small groups from Salvation Church went through the village, singing carols and handing out invitations to the charity evangelistic program "Christmas 2013". The event was planned for January 12 at the local House of Culture.

The night before Christmas was unusually "Christmasy" in the sense that it did not rain, and there was even snow that crunched underfoot. Tall birch trees covered with thick white frost looked like crystal against a black sky generously sown with stars!

Despite the fact that this event occurred in the distant past, even non-believers still feel the special atmosphere of anticipation of a miracle. But believers celebrate this miracle, and proclaim it in Christmas carols.
