Recently the Christian Center was the scene of a meeting of the committees of Christian Education and Missions for churches of the Poltava region.

How does this relate to the life of our church? In the most direct way. After all, Salvation Church is involved in and takes an active part in regional missionary projects and educational programs.

Our youth mission trip to Georgia, as well as the ministry of Frank Tuck and Andrei Khudyakov in L'gov is a great encouragement and a good example for churches throughout the area. We also have a lot to learn from the congregations of Kremenchuk, Zinkova, Oposhnya and other cities of the Poltava region, both in educational activities, and in spreading the Gospel. As it happens, some of them have undertaken missionary projects even to distant Siberia. Thanks to the efforts of these ministers, there is active cooperation with churches in the Siberian regional center of Kemerovo.

There are also near-term plans for the development a ministry to foreign students in our city. It is not a coincidence that Poltava is home to the famous medical-dental university and Agrarian Academy. Estimates place the number of foreign nationals at 1,500, mostly Muslim.

We hope that our church missionary activity in 2013 will grow significantly. We must all be alert and prepared, as God opens up new horizons and calls new ministers into the whitened Poltava fields!
