On April 20 of this year Christians all over the world celebrated the resurrection of Christ. The members of Salvation church also assembled for a service of celebration to commemorate one of the most important events in human history. In song and verse the worship team and the Sunday School students proclaimed the new hope for everyone that was made possible by the work of the Messiah.

 

Christ is risen indeed! - that's our response to the greetings of our acquaintances. But what does that mean to you? Do we believe fully in the fact of the resurrection? "If something doesn't make sense to us, we will come to disbelieve it and become disillusioned ... but faith is what Christ made the center of everything" - that's what Andre Khudyakov said in his sermon.

And in fact, often very important things seem unbelievable to us: can I really change my life, is there really a better future for my country, is there existence after physical death? Many of our contemporaries are asking themselves similar questions. Christians, who find their answers in God, are called to call the attention of society to these things.

And for this reason, on that evening, next to the Glory Monument, representatives of several evangelical churches of our city used songs and prayers to call Poltavans to turn their thoughts to the Savior. Even a chilling spring rain did not hinder us in asking the Lord for a better future for our society and in thanking Him for vistory over death.

We will entrust ourselves to Allmighty God - He is sovereign over all the circumstances of our lives, over our dreams and over the rulers of our countries. For in rising from the dead He proved that He has the power to raise us as well! (1 Cor 6:14)
