Holiday celebrations with family are cozy, with friends they are fun, but with SMS Club, which is both family and friends, on top of that they are especially interesting! Those of us who saw in the New Year in the Christian Center certainly didn’t regret it, because on this New Year’s Eve we took an entertaining trip around the world.

 

Together with Phileas Fogg and Passepartout, the heroes of Jules Verne’s famous adventure novel and our guides for the evening, we found that it is possible to travel around the world not just in 80 days, but in 4 hours. How is that? Very simple: when you’re in good company you can do anything! Especially when the company is not ordinary, but international. If you are planning to travel all the way around the world, then you will need a proper Englishman, an exotic Chinaman, an organized German, a friendly Australian, a romantic Frenchman and many, many others…

Of course, the highlight of an event with this much international variety had to be a costume contest and presentation of little-known traditions of different countries and peoples. And along with that, fun competitions, challenging quiz games, a funny video, and or course the best food in the world. And, in keeping with our tradition, everyone wrote a letter to their future selves and spent the first minutes of the new year in prayer.

Phileas Fogg somehow managed to win. But what about you in this new year? Let’s trust our future to God, because if we are with him, we will never lose the most important wager of all.
