An evening in autumn, comfort, candles, friendly conversation... The big hall in the Christian Center could barely hold the crowd of about 115 young people who came for the October SMS Club meeting. But you will agree that not all of our evenings are characterized by such carefree happiness or measured, almost poetic silence. Unexpectedly the next season-change melancholy brings unexplained sadness and apathy, and you find that you are not yourself.

 

"You're Not Yourself When It's Fall" was the topic of the evening when we tried to find out why we feel depressed and what we need to include in our arsenal to fight it. We listened, discussed and composed haiku about lack of acceptance, disappointment, failure and other circumstances that cause us to want to crawl under the covers with the words "life is too painful".

But what is the reason? What do we need to do when hobbies, movies and, strangely enough, even the biggest bar of chocolate can't fill the emptiness inside? SMS Club presented the Christian approach to solving these problems.

How about setting aside all your external circumstances and taking a close look at yourself? After all, like it or not, most of our problems in life are the result of problems with our relationship with God. So maybe the time has come to crawl out from under your blanket and turn to your Heavenly Father? In Him we find acceptance and love and safety and the ability to persevere, and all that regardless of the season.
