When Heaven Rejoices |
"Love one another" is the commandment of Jesus Christ that His bride must fulfill on the earth by telling the world that there is an alternative and that miracles happen that are not publicized on TV or in the Internet. Especially today, when you wake up in the morning not knowing what you might see on the news or even out your own window, the love of Jesus Christ is the "panacea" that everyone can receive. Â Sunday, July 27 was a special day for our church, because on this day we welcomed 5 new sisters in Christ into our family. They had decided to accept God's grace and dedicate their entire lives to Him. In keeping with the occasion we decided to have an original type of service: in the shadow of the trees we set up neat rows of chairs, and next to them were attractive tables carefully set. We held the celebration on the bank of the river, where after a few songs and some instructions from Vladimir Golovash, we held our baptism. After the greetings and hugs we had the "official" part of the service: praise; communion; Valery Antonuk's sermon on the blessing of the fear of God; gifts for the new members of the church and a farewell to the Rowland family, who were returning home to the USA after their time of service with us. After the service all the attendees enjoyed treats from the kitchen (pastries with cheese, fruit and chilled fruit juice). Standing on the bank of the river Vorskla on July 27, I was truly happy seeing how wonderfully Salvation Church can live out the Word of God! Love was evident in every movement: in the encouraging hugs for the new members who had decided join the church and receive citizenship in heaven; in the hands that supported them as they waded into the water; in the happy way everyone sang "Joy..."; in the carefully arranged chairs in the shade, allowing everyone to feel comfortable in spite of the heat; in the welcoming smiles - and the list could go on and on... I am sure the the love expressed on that day caused rejoicing in Heaven. Lyudmila Rubtsova
