Family Weekend |
The family is one of the main and most important institutions of our society. A family of dedicated Christians is the greatest blessing for the Body of Christ, the Church. Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.†Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.†Genesis 2: 18, 23 At the same time the family is vulnerable; the arrows of the evil one are aimed at it, to destroy the harmonious relationship between husband and wife. Our contemporary society produces independent personalities, self-sufficient and fully capable of independent existence, not wanting to conform to anyone, and certainly not to be dependent of anyone else's decisions. This has resulted in a sharp rise in the number of divorces and people who are comfortable with "free" relationships, without the "official stamp", as they say. Propaganda for this type of life pours in on us from our television screens, radios, the Internet, leaving its impression on families of believers. Solving these urgent family problems was precisely what a wonderful weekend was dedicated to. The two days in the picturesque Krotenkovcky Inn were filled with useful information and good feelings. So, here are our conclusions: To the men, in the maelstrom of life you need to return as often as possible to the words of the Lord, as written in the epistle to the Ephesians 5:25-33 and 1 Peter 3:7. Remember that God wants you to be the head of your family, a loving and self-sacrificing man. Be the priest of you home, so that your family might come to a right understanding of the truths of the Holy Scriptures. May the Lord give you wisdom to be true builders. Remember that God gave you 100% of the strength and opportunity you need. Seek God every minute because without Him you can do nothing. Seek His will and you are guaranteed to be a successful man. "So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate." Matthew 19:6 Anna Shapoval
