Sometimes there are situations when you have no choice. How can you get justice without bribes? Besides, everyone does it, so where's the problem? We play so often by the rules of this world that we have started to erase the line between good and bad. We want changes in the country, we strive for righteousness. People fought for this in the protests, even died, but was it worth it?

So in SMS Club we decided to talk about bribery, a difficult topic, but it needs to be discussed. And the discussion was heated as never before. Some said there was nothing wrong with bribes, they are just a way to take care of a problem; others said it represents a moral breakdown in society. We also decided to ask the citizens of Poltava what they think about bribery. And here came the contradiction: no one likes it, but everyone does it. Where can we find the truth?

 

The Bible says "The wicked accept bribes in secret to pervert the course of justice." (Proverbs 17:23) Now, this may not be the authority you look to, but as C. S. Lewis said, "How can we know that a line is crooked if we have never seen a straight line?" Why do we know in our hearts that bribery is wrong. Obviously, there is a higher justice! And we believe that God will recompense each of us, both those who take bribes and those who give them. "For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14) So when you think there is no other way, think about whether you are looking in the right place.

P.S. We personally know people who have gotten justice without bribes, and if they were able to, why not you? ;)
