At times when basic civil liberties are preserved at the cost of hundreds of lives, not only does the rise of national awareness become clearer, but also the desire for spiritual revival. Calls to "Pray for Ukraine" repeatedly resounded from many areas of the country including ​​our city.

These calls can not be ignored, especially by Christians. Therefore, starting from February 24 the evangelical churches in our city started the movement "Unity in prayer for Ukraine." Daily, until March 1, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm church representatives will be on present at the square in front of the Poltava Regional State Administration building and near the demolished monument to Lenin. There, during the week, everyone who wishes will be able to receive a New Testament, a printed prayer for Ukraine, postcards with a personal prayer of repentance, and addresses of the Poltava churches. In addition, all concerned Poltavans are invited to combined prayer meeting, to be held on March 2.

So, the spiritual work begins. Pray that our joint efforts will win new souls for our Heavenly Homeland and bring peace to our earthly one.
