A Joyful Christmas Service |
"Christ is born!" - "Praise Him!" This is the cheery greeting with which we welcomed our friends to church. The festive and upbeat atmosphere helped us forget about the rather dark and unusually snowless winter days we were having. The decorated Christmas tree, the smiling familiar faces - in Salvation Church there was an especially festive atmosphere. "Christmas Day, Christmas Day" - the children were singing, proclaiming to all present the most important event in the history of mankind.   Our festive Christmas service, which took place on Tuesday, January 7, turned out really unusual. Its main feature was an interesting program presented by the worship team, accompanied by a video. Traditional Ukrainian Christmas carols, Christmas songs - all helped to immerse the audience in the mystery of the silent night of the birth of the Savior. There was a musical surprise in the form of girls playing banduras and glorifying God as they accompanied the worship team. The sermon was about how the Lord is faithful to his promises, and proof of this is the coming of the Messiah. "The birth of Jesus Christ is the confirmation that God is faithful. This event shows us where events were leading in the history of the chosen people, and what an extraordinary blessing through His birth we have now," said Pastor Valery Antonuk. It was wonderful to share the joy of the Savior's birth with our friends and loved ones. The service ended with a happy tradition each of the youngsters got candy as a gift. Влада Ð Ñбуха |
