On September 23 we held an evangelistic event in Zavorsklo, thanks to the presence of a team from an international association of Christian doctors. The villagers had the opportunity to see the optometrists free of charge for a thorough checkup. Individually selected reading glasses were given to everyone who needed them. Everyone who came felt the love and sincerity of the Christian doctors and knew that in this world anyone who wants to can do good, without any self-interest.

 

Five counselors from Poltava churches came to Zavorsklo with a team of doctors. The counselors spoke with everyone who came to see the doctors. There were a lot of visitors, 70 in all. The wounded hearts of ordinary rural people in need of love and attention gradually began to open up. There were different life stories that were shared, serious conversations that were had, and most importantly - people weere coming to repentance. We don't know for sure how sincere these decisions to accept Christ were, but we do know for sure that: "... he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" Phil.1:6. Glory to our God for that promise!

For those who came for the doctor visit and spiritual conversation, Radislav and Maya also sang Christian songs, and Vladimir Golyuk shared his unusual testimony. Bacause of the atmosphere of joy and love, people were not in a hurry to go back home or back to work.

Please pray for the salvation of everyone in this village, where they once again heard the Good News. By offering your prayers to God, you, too, can become a part of God's wonderful plan for Zavorsklo.
