But this time some of the traditions were not observed. First, the number of attendees was significantly lower than expected. One reason for the poor turnout was the absence of 13 key members of our church, specifically, members of the camp ministry, who were in the city of Chervonograd for a training workshop. Why the others decided to skip the general church picnic, we don't know. In any case, the "shirkers" will be sorry, because it was a lot of fun and the food was great.

Second, the multi-year tradition concerning how to prepare the entertainment program was broken. First, responsibility for organizing games and activities was shared by several (significantly) men on the ministry team. Oleg Bondarenko organized a competition where the participants "saved" sinners from hell with the use of a long rope. Then contestants had to withstand being struck with a rubber chicken in a game led by Vladimir Golyuk. Roman and Lyudmila Zhuk held a contest where couples showed their skill at bursting balloons. With Radislav Turcan the men on the ministry team had to explain complex Bible verses using only gestures. Vova Golovash provided the picnickers with mental exercise during a musical memory competition after lunch.

And speaking of lunch, a third tradition was broken. Thanks to the "absentees" portions have never been bigger, but tradition was still preserved in that it was very tasty. There was even enough so that everyone got two buns with cheese and raisins! I would like to draw particular attention to Valentina Khudyakov. This time, instead of her magical singing that pleases the soul, she enthusiastically served huge chicken legs, pleasing to the stomach ... and soul as well.
