What? Where? When? |
One of the recent major events in children's Sunday School was an intellectual game which surpassed everyone's expectations. Those who were there can guess what I am going to talk about next ... And for those who could not attend the battle of wits, I will describe it for you. The decorations in the hall and the music lent a wonderful atmosphere to the "What-Where-When" club. The "Masters" - the Bible experts who were also invited to the game, gave detailed answers as well as "hints" to both teams, and showed what good examples the leaders or our church are to our younger generation. The game host lead with professionalism and his interaction with the children showed that he was concerned that every player had the chance to do his or her best. His unwavering fairness to the teams kept the players focused on the serious intellectual challenge. The degree to which the children were prepared exceeded the expectations of the audience and the teachers. The teams from the older and middle classes of Sunday school got the job done: the "Fearless" team won with a score of 12 - 5, and the "Children of God" won with a score of 13 - 3. The youngest Sunday School class also distinguished themselves with their performance: they prepared riddles for all the guests, of which there were quite a few. The parents took an active part in the contest of wits, and I'm sure I speak for all of them when I express my deep gratitude to each church leader who took part in this wonderful treat for the senses, the mind and the spirit.
