This was the name of the children's camp we conducted on the Vorskla river where the time just flew by. I say flew because the children were so enthusiastic about the full and interesting program that when we asked them what could be better about the camp, we got the answer that it was too short. Five days was not enough. And how many days would it take to get tired of a camp with loving teachers, with excellent facilities managers who made our life more comfortable, with the best chefs in a "five-star" kitchen, a camp with interesting games and sports, singing and socializing at the evening campfire, and just plain good atmosphere!?

The name "Papa + Me" reminds us of the relationship each of us has with our loving heavenly Father. This was also the theme of the camp song "Daddy's Home", and coincidentally the name of the exotic papaya fruit, which we sampled on the last night! Trekking on foot along the river, rafting on catamarans, interesting games, the chance for the camp leaders to show their creative side and perform - all this opened the door for the leaders and camp staff to make friends with the children and hold discussions about the Creator, God's Word, moral precepts, Christ and the way of salvation.

On the last night we released paper boats with candles on the river ... the candles drifted on the quiet surface and then went around a bend ... Life is like a river, and like the candle God gives light to our path! The evening was unforgettable! Standing on the bank of the river, we sang songs of worship, praised Him and prayed! The next day it was hard to leave, but all of us were happy that we would not be parted for long, because August 25 there was a meeting for everyone who was at the camp and their friends, so - our friendship will continue!

Many thanks to all who prayed for this camp, to those who sacrificed finances, to those who gave their time and shared their lives to teach others about Christ, to those who still without faith may come to faith, and that those who have faith may be grounded and strengthened.
We want to share the encouraging news that there were more children in church after camp was over, in spite of the fact that Sunday school was on break! Glory to God! Pray that God preserved the word sown in the hearts of the children, so we might continue our fellowship and friendship in Sunday school.
