I have never been surfing - no way, no how. From television I know that the sport exists and that it's interesting and fun. I was struck by the film "Point Break". I remember that my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, was always waiting for waves of fantastic proportions in order to hop on his board and experience, as we would say in the vernacular, the high.

What kind of a high it is I will probably never know, because no one will ever persuade me to climb on that board. I can only imagine those incredible sensations ... I am certain that every Christian feels something similar when he gets a clear understanding of God's will for his life. As he lives in accordance with God's will he is like the surfer who has managed to catch that great wave. Stay in God's will and you will always be on top, on the crest of the wave.

That same impression of a "surfer on a high" (to those who are making distracting connections, stay with me please) is what I got from Maxim Vorfolomeev. He was in our church not long ago. He sang his songs and told of his conversion to Jesus, of God's blessings in his life ... The impression was that a perfectly happy man was speaking to the congregation. No complaints - only encouragement. No uncertainty - full and clear understanding of God's will for his life. No sign of doubt, loss of hope, or despair - perfect trust, deep inner peace, and song lyrics full of hope.

"And why", you may ask, "did you expect these negative attitudes from a believer?" Because Maxim is not an ordinary man. He is completely blind. It was the first time I had seen such a thankful, happy and exceptionally peaceful blind man. Don't expect to hear him complain. What you will hear is: "God gave me a good wife", "God provided me with wonderful work", "I travel with my songs to many countries" ... And furthermore, when he starts to encourage sighted Christians to serve the Lord zealously with all their strength, it's embarassing for us. You immediately remember the verse from the Bible: "God chose the weak of this world to shame the strong."

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, on the horizon, on the boundless ocean of God's will, the wave that you need and are expecting will certainly appear. Don't hesitate! Get on your surfboard and climb to the crest of that liquid mountain.
