The Great Commission “to go and teach all nations” requires somebody who is ready to leave a comfortable home for the sake of Jesus Christ and the Gospel and head into the unknown, trusting only in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and … in prayer expecting support from other believers.

This is what happened in the lives of Viacheslav and Natalia Klimov.  God called them to move from the city of Poltava into the countryside - a small town called Chootovo - to plant a new Baptist church there. About a year and a half later the Lord graciously provided the possibility to buy an old building (a cafeteria in Soviet times).  Their plan was to remodel it into a church sanctuary and living area for themselves. The opening ceremony of the first part of the building which became a Prayer House took place last spring. Since then they have been holding services in the specious, well-lighted hall. But the living area was still under reconstruction! And as usual, “the closer you get to the finish, the harder it gets”.  But in this case I need to note that members of Salvation Church showed faithfulness and courage each time when some physical help was needed. So, in the same way last week a special mission group from Salvation Church went to Chootovo and installed a wood floor throughout the living area of the building! Praise God for this!

Very little is left to complete: to putty the ceiling and walls, paint the floor and hang wallpaper.  Then the missionary family will be able to move into a comfortable dwelling. So, please continue to pray!  Let God reward everybody who sacrifices time and energy to participate in the construction of the sanctuary for the new church in Chootovo!  Let God make all of us to be more devoted in different ways to accomplish the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ!
