In this era of globalization and rapidly developing information technology, it is impossible to imagine a successful person who does not speak a foreign language - English, in particular.  Therefore, every teenager and student who wants to achieve success in life should be interested in learning this international language.  Of course, everyone knows that practice is the best way to learn.  That is, in order to master a language you need to speak, speak, and speak some more.  Now the question is, who can you find in Poltava to speak English with?

It is for exactly this reason that we have English Club, organized by the Rowland family, along with their team and the youth ministry of Salvation Church.  The sixth season for the club was formally opened (drum roll) on Tuesday, the seventh of June in the small hall of the Christian Ministry Center (applause).

The theme of the first meeting was "First Impressions".  We opened with a dramatization how not to behave if you want to make a good impression when looking for a job.  Then we worked on some exciting linguistic exercises and conversation in groups organized by level of language skill.  At the conclusion we came to the main point of the meeting - a simple and sincere talk by Robby about Jesus: that a personal relationship with Jesus will take you to a much higher level in life than knowledge of English.

In total, we spent about two hours in a very friendly atmosphere, which contributed to learning the material better than anything.

The second meeting took place on June 14.  Once again we enjoyed games and interesting linguistic exercises.  We all wrestled in English with the question "What is truth"?  We watched a interesting video and persuaded one another of the thuth of specific things.  But why am I telling all this?  Come and see for yourself!

We will hold these meetings for the next two months, every Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the small hall of the Christian Ministry Center (prospect Mir, 24).  We hope to meet even more people who are thirsty for knowledge.  See you there!
