Dear Christians! It is the 21st century now. Outside our windows the world is cruel and cold. In fact, we probably can't even guess how bad it is. But it is bad, and painful and hard...For the sake of a few minutes of warmth the people out there are ready to give anything. They are ready to pay, and pay dearly for things that will give only a moment of happiness. New goods, new prices...Today the former pleasures are not enough. The demand is always for something new, otherwise the cold will pierce you through.

I am not trying to evoke pity, but understanding. Let the warmth spread beyond the windows of your heart. Let there be a refuge for every frozen, cold, difficult, dirty, tired person out there. Give happiness and light to them. Don’t be afraid of them. Don’t disdain them. They need the Light. They need Him. They need you.

Last week in SMS-club the topic was a very specific and difficult theme: homosexual love. Is today's church ready to take a dignified and wise stand against the disintegration of modern society? Is it ready to "get its hands dirty" in order to save people who have lost their way? To what extent are Christians today able to hate the sin but at the same time sincerely love the sinner? How can we as believers help such people? What position does the church need to take in relation to this issue?

Lately homosexuals have become more aggressive and uncompromising. Media resources have a huge influence on modern society. Morality is completely losing its foundation. A new, "tolerant", generation is being formed. All over the world, opinion is turning against the Church. The Church in turn is not actively opposing this phenomenon.

During the most recent SMS-club we made an effort present the real picture of the moral decomposition of modern society to Poltava youth. Things that long ago became the norm in developed countries were quite a shock to our audience. Thanks to interesting videos from PEMA TV, and to information provided by Oleg Ivanovich Ovsi, we were able to conduct a thorough investigation of the concept of "homosexual love". By the end of the meeting all of the attendees agreed with the conclusion that the situation can be summed up in one short sentence: under the universally accepted concept of "tolerance" hides equivalent concept of "lawlessness". The church is the only institution that is able to effectively resist this phenomenon in the modern world. Only God can release man from this sin, giving him a future and a hope.
