No One Has Loved So... |
Proverbs 18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: 19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. I don’t know who suggested the first line of the poem by Ukrainian poet Vladimir Sosyury as the title of the seminar, but these words are very well suited to our purpose. This is the sixth year in a row we have held this seminar in our church. It’s worth noting that the number of visitors did not decrease. Love is a topic that people always have and always will be ready to discuss. The seminar was held in the Christian centre on the 22nd and 23rd of January, and was open to everyone. The first day of the seminar was a study of the characteristics of the male and female genders, to understand their differences and purpose. After a short introduction by the leaders, the participants were divided up. Boys went to the right, girls went to the left to office 11. The talk for the macho half the audience was given by the senior elder of the Baptist Churches of the Poltava region, Oleg Ivanovich Ovsyi. The fairer half the audience heard a talk by Oleg’s wife, Larisa. The main point of the presentation to the young men was that relationship problems begin when a man is not under the rule of Christ. The young women enjoyed a detailed study of the lives of biblical heroines with an emphasis on: "the quality of femininity." At the end of the evening all of the guests were invited to identify three positive and three negative qualities that are most valued or disliked in the opposite sex. From this survey we compiled a list of qualities to cultivate and to avoid. The second day of the seminar focused on answering the question: how, when and, more importantly, why build a relationship between a man and a woman? Nowadays the family is no longer valued. Everywhere the idea is promoted that relationships do not require any obligation or responsibility. You can leave at any time. But for believers the family is a sacred union that requires sacrifice and dedication. And the approach to building relationships needs to be grounded in a serious and sober assessment of reality. For this exercise the audience, which had increased significantly in comparison with the previous day, was divided by age: under 19 and over 19. The speakers for the older group were Oleg and Larisa, and for the younger group, Radislav and Sofia Tsurkan. The themes of these presentations were "What is important to know when preparing for marriage?" and "What to do when marriage is still far off." So, the youth of "Salvation" Church (and other churches) will be 100% prepared for Valentine's Day on February 14. Now I call on all of the readers of this article to join in praying for these young people, that they would be "blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which they shine like stars in the universe." Happiness to all your families! Author: Vladimir Golovash |
