Christmas Fair |
This Sunday Salvation Church had an excellent opportunity to combine business with pleasure. Continuing the Christmas celebration, members of Salvation Church decided to host a Christmas Fair and to contribute the proceeds to the repair of the church in Dnipropetrovsk that was destroyed by fire. Representatives of each small group of Salvation Church had a good opportunity to showcase their culinary and creative skills. The idea to host a church fair inspired everyone. Everyone involved was focused on serving their neighbors at the fair. It seemed that each charming housewife had taken this opportunity to let her imagination take flight and realize her secret culinary dreams! There were lots of treats: pancakes, different types of pastries, sandwiches and more. And it was impossible to count all the sweets!  It's not often that there's an opportunity like this to indulge oneself! In addition to the food, there were wonderful handicrafts available, too! Pretty soon all of the women of the church will be wearing the work of the congregational artisans. We hope that the funds collected at this fair will serve at least in part to repair the damage in Dnipropetrovsk. We praise God for the opportunity to serve our neighbors. And, by the way, "Serving as Jesus Served" is our motto at Salvation Church for the year 2011! Tanya Varyanitsa More photos from fairs here |
