"I was in prison, and ye came unto Me ..." Mt. 25:36

On December 11 Salvation Church hosted a regional conference on prison ministry at the Christian Ministry Center. In addition to the attendees from the Poltava region, the Bishop of prison ministry for all of Ukraine was present, Viktor Ivanovich Mural-Sikorsky, as well as the Larionov family, missionaries from Latvia.

A senior elder of the Poltava Union Baptist Church, Oleg Ivanovich Ovsy, opened the conference. Among the topics on the agenda were a summary of the ministry for 2010, a vision for the region-wide ministry in 2011, and a speech by Viktor Mural-Sikorski. In his speech, Viktor Mural-Sikorski provided support and encouragement for prison ministry workers. He also encouraged them to be courageous in exercising their legal rights, and in defending the rights of prisoners. The Larionov family talked about their ministry and God's call into ministry. They also glorified the Lord with singing. The conference was held for the glory of the Lord and to strengthen prison ministry workers.
