Do a few hours make much difference in our lives? The answer is, it all depends. Sometimes it only takes a few minutes to understand something very important, and sometimes we spend a whole week and don't get anything out of it. How does time seem to pass? If we think about it, we find that the older a person is, the faster it goes, and vice versa ... But if you are concentrating on something interesting then the time spent will benefit everyone, adults and children.

 

It was for exactly this diverse range of ages that the Easter Fair was planned. The fair was hosted by Born Again Church and Salvation Church and took place on May 6 in front of the Christian Ministry Center. The first thing on the program were holiday activities for children. Children of all ages participated in competitions and together with New Testament heroes were able to learn in an entertaining way about the real Jesus Christ. They also learned about Him through songs performed by their peers of Salvation Chruch. At the end of this part of the program all of the young participants received gifts and Christian children's literature.

The message of the second part of the evening was also important: the theme was the meaning of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and man's relationship with God. Here, too, there was a musical program, but this time for youth and adults. Pastor Valery Antonuk spoke to all those present about the need for repentance.

The friendly atmosphere and carefully prepared program were planned to help Born Again and Salvation Churches communicate the importance of Christ's Resurrection to all of the attendees of the fair. All of the workers were eager to share the Gospel with unbelieving Poltavans. However, the number of attendees was less than desired. What was the reason for this? The cold evening? A lack of zeal on the part of those whose job it was to share the invitations? Maybe just the fact that our countrymen weren't very interested? We can each turn to God in prayer to find the answer as it applies to us. In any case, we hope that for those who were in attendance that the time was not wasted…
